Kayla Arnold, Our Founder + Intuitive Guide

Kayla is a deep-feeling creative with a rebellious passion for living life outside the box. She's a certified breathwork + yoga teacher, jewelry designer, mentor and artist. Her work invites people to step back, observe and learn to feel safe in their bodies so they can reconnect with the magic of life.

Her brand, Passion Pilgrim, brought her on a creative adventure from finding the stones and learning how to polish them, to providing jobs to local villages and sharing the stories of the people involved in the process.

Throughout the years, Kayla has used creativity as a doorway to explore, connect with and better understand herself, others + the world. With her 'Crafternoon' workshops, she invites people into her world of magic, creativity and playfulness by doing what she loves the most: to sit together, explore the unknown, be resourceful and create something beautiful.

Kayla believes that the path to enlightenment doesn’t have to be so serious, and provides many avenues for people of the fast-paced modern world to enter a peaceful, meditative state deep within themselves. Meditating with mala beads, breathwork healing sessions, creative workshops along with yin yoga classes are Kayla’s way of creating a safe space for people to slow the mind down so they can experience themselves beyond words and cultivate more joy.

She uses the Passion Pilgrim brand as a vehicle of connection - a place where everyone is seen + heard in every step of the process. It’s a continuous quest that keeps her imaginative and playful spirit alive and an opportunity for other artists to live in their truth through co-inspired collaborations.

Kayla currently lives in Bali, Indonesia, where she enjoys collecting treasures, collaborating with other creatives and on retreats, offering healing sessions, teaching breathwork online as part of Passion Pilgrim's Intuitive Mentorship program and plunging in the sea.

Logan barbosa, virtual sidekick + van-lifer

Logan is a digital nomad who joined the Passion Pilgrim team in 2019. Since then she has been working behind the scenes to help everything run smoothly. From getting on the Passion Pilgrim social media pages and connecting with our community to helping with the conception of our website, Logan is there as our in-house Virtual Assistant and Kayla’s right-hand woman.

She has been living and travelling out of her self converted van since 2017 as part of a bigger path to cultivating freedom. She’s a certified yoga teacher, birth + postpartum doula in training and lover of all plants. Aside from Passion Pilgrim, Logan manages other social media accounts and runs her vintage and home goods reselling business.

She is now living in Northern Ontario, Canada, where she is building a tiny home with her boyfriend and puppy, Sadie. Her mission is to create a life of overall freedom that allows the space to chase what is important to her at that moment while still having a home base to return to. She’s a real-deal passion pilgrim.

Umar Setiawan, Silversmith Boss

Originally from the island of Java, Indonesia, Umar is a Bali-based silversmith specializing in hand-crafted fine metal for the past 25 years. He was born into a family of metalsmiths dating back to his great-grandfather. His independent personality initially rebelled against the idea of following a metalsmithing path, but gradually his interest grew from witnessing the process of metal creation on a daily basis so he decided to study under his father. He is very grateful for the grace of God that has provided this path for him and his family.

Umar now works with his two employees to produce one-of-a-kind handmade pieces using old-school, manual machinery. Umar is the official producer of about 98% of all metals in our products.

In a rural village on the island of Lombok, Indonesia, Karin works alongside Kayla and other members of her extended family for small-batch mala bead production.  Karin organizes the group to be ready when Kayla arrives for production and helps train these women + men how to construct the mala beads in her local language.

Karin has a fiery and resilient spirit and is usually found hustling tourists on the beach on Lombok. She’s a dear friend to Kayla since 2017, wife to Tarif and the mother of Dimas + Dava [Passion Pilgrim’s education sponsees] and Kaysa who entered the world in 2020.

It’s important to get to know the faces behind our creations so you can connect with every single person who contributed to your journey,

and who you are helping by purchasing a mala.
