Today - only one day after treatment - I could get up, move around, bake muffins for the kids, drive myself to acupuncture, connect with a friend! On my right arm, I still have an IV bruise from the first treatment 2 weeks ago. On my left arm, from yesterday, no bruise.

“At the beginning of the year I was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma - cancer. My oncologist hadn’t really heard much about breathwork, but agreed it was a benign practice and gave me the go ahead to work it into my routine. Having worked with Kayla and practiced breathworks for anxiety for a few months prior, I began the habit of booking a breathwork session the evening before each chemo treatment.
Well - I didn’t make it to my breathwork session on the evening of my fifth chemo treatment. The one time I didn’t do it, the chemo treatment hit me like a ton of bricks! The nausea was intense. The fatigue lasted and lasted. The side effects were stronger and longer; it was an utterly miserable time. Breathing through it helped, but I sure wish I’d taken the opportunity to breathe deeply before it too.
In a way, I’m grateful, because missing a session illustrated how much of a difference it made! Now I know it is an essential part of my healing journey.”
